About me..

God is my No. 1 passion.
Theology is my No. 2 passion
Photography is my No. 3 passion.
I’m 20 and in the third year on my BA Theology degree at Cliff College in Calver, England. I from Bournemouth, and I bought my first camera when I was 14. That was when I started my photographic journey.
I have been lucky enough to have been blessed by God with a creative eye for seeing the world down the barrel of a camera lens. After I realised my passion for photography when I was 14, I started my own photography business just a few months later with a website and an exhibition which the Mayor and Mayoress of Bournemouth attended. My exhibition also got reported in the Bournemouth Echo.
A few years later I worked through my Photography A Level at Brockenhurst College, and by God’s grace I managed to finish with an A*, having achieved 79/80 in my coursework, and 80/80 in my exam by working intensely across the year. I have God alone to thank for helping me achieve this, and I am so blessed by it.
Due to this achievement, I have subsequently received a Licentiateship at the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS) which is a distinction of a photographer’s skill.
In the second year of my Theology degree in late 2016, I decided to use my photographic skills to take photos that glorify God. I bought a new Nikon D750, and searched through Koine Greek (the form of Greek used in the New Testament) to find a phrase that I could use for the name of my new photography business that would reflect what I am trying to achieve with my images. This ended up being ‘Zētēō Theos’ (pronounced zay-tay-oh thee-o-s), which is Koine Greek for ‘to desire/seek God’. I chose this name because I want to seek God through his creation and photograph it for others to glorify Him through.
One of my particular focuses has been on surrealism photography: this is where photos are edited, and several photos may be combined to create a photo that isn’t real, but creates a desired effect. This ability enables me to create an image that I cannot photograph in the real world. An example of this is my image of Elijah at Horeb that is composed of 5 different photos to get the desired effect. Some of the surrealism images can take a long time to perfect, and that image took around 3 days to achieve the desired effect. Other images however are completely natural, such as the one of Isaiah 64:8.
As I continue to add photos to my gallery I hope to keep finding new ways to glorify God and create fresh expressions of worship.
Feel free to contact me via the contact page if you have any questions about my photography or any of the images, or if you want an image commissioned for personal, business, or church use.
